eConnectivity was founded in 2017 with the purpose of supplying services and solutions in the Enterprise Mobility space. Co-founder of the company Claes Widestadh tells us the story of how the company was founded, what the biggest challenges have been so far, and about the plans for the future.
Hi Claes! Tell us briefly about your background and how the company was founded.
I have always been interested in the economy, business and entrepreneurship. I have a Master's degree in Business Administration and Business Technology, and I have worked both as a consultant and as a line employee.
My interest for entrepreneurship expressed itself through dreams of creating my own business, to do something of my own and better than others. During 2017 an opportunity arose through a friend who gave me a tip about a consultancy assignment at SKF. I seized the opportunity and quit my safe job to start my own company.
I had previously met our other founder, Christoffer, when we were colleagues at Mölnlycke Health Care, and now we met again as consultants in the same team at SKF. Christoffer had started his own business six months earlier.
We soon realised that this was an opportunity that we had waited for, to move on to creating our own company, something that we had discussed a lot during the years. eConnectivity was born. At the same time we hired additional people to meet the needs of our customers.
What makes eConnectivity's offer unique?
We realised that together we hade a unique position on the market - a small and agile company, but still with great knowledge and capabilities within Enterprise Mobility. We could help our customers from idea and strategy, through projects, implementation, change management and all the way to maintenance.

For our customers it means that it should be easy and comfortable to cooperate with us. For our employees it means that we strive to provide a great working environment - it should be easy to do a good job as an employee.
What have the biggest challenges been so far?
Finding people with the right mindset and competencies. We would love to find people from the customer side, competence within enterprise mobility and an entrepreneurial mindset and a positive drive forward. We have new ideas and we want to find people who share our values.
What are you most proud of?
The people who work with us and that they provide so much value to our customers. Everybody is appreciated and that is why we want to find the right people with the right mindset. Of course I am also proud in the journey of the company so far!
What are your plans for the future?
We want to continue to grow with the right people. We would like to grow our deliveries within projects and life cycle services. We have big growth ambitions and plan to open new offices internationally. We are convinced that the services we offer are viable world-wide. We are continuously exploring new opportunities and we believe that we have a very bright future ahead of us. Our journey consists of challenging ourselves and growing as individuals and as a team.
